Strong Earthquake felt in St. Maarten

At approximately 5:29 local time this afternoon (21:29UTC), an earthquake measuring 5.1 on th Richter Scale shook the SSS Islands from a depth of 54.9 miles (88.4 km) below sea-level. This Quake had an epicenter located at 18.2°N, 63.0°W — about 15 miles NNE of Philipsburg, St. Maarten/4 miles ESE of Stoney Ground, Anguilla.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, and no threat of a tsunami.
However, several residents have reported that they felt the ground shake for a few seconds.
